all the way to 22nd Station, almost to NEW WEST.
Still don’t think in metrics, but that’s one heck of a MILEAGE.
Back and forth, how do those drivers do it, without hardly any REST?
we hit No. Three Road, Brighouse Station, and just a tad different VIEW,
the CANADA LINE,
the big mall plus strip malls - everyone having a wonderful relaxing TIME.
Then there’s more concrete paradise, a right turn and soon, almost spacious FARMLAND.
It feels pretty good, some hints of spacious FARMLAND
and suddenly racing on the FREEWAY.
I’m looking through the side window, trying to UNDERSTAND,
putting aside some prehistoric values, trying to give today’s life style at least a semblance of LEEWAY.
A few minutes later we’re in East Richmond, back to what resembles a winding country ROAD.
There are a few old fashioned homes; one even with a FISH POND!
Dropping us off at 22nd Station, the driver will soon be heading back and I begin to remember the days of The Pacific Stage LINES,
when the B.C. Electric building in Vancouver was a SKYSCRAPER.
This long trip helps to reprise a SLOWER TIME
and the old days to SAVOUR.
