Do you still remember, Mr. Clean, Mr. Clean, Mr. Clean?
What about that old western, High Noon?

and that coffee with the stars on the top, good to the last drop.
Loved that animated Disney production of Dumbo, the Elephant.
Do you still remember dancing the bunnyhop?
How about that motion picture called Giant
with Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, and James Dean, and its theme song,
The Yellow Rose of Texas.
Hearing Groucho’s voice, “Say the secret word and share a hundred dollars”. Nostalgia can powerfully affect us, like a pop song about lipstick on your collar. There was that jingle about getting a loan, “unless you must, never borrow money needlessly”.
Of course, most of us watched Ted Mack’s Amateur Hour,
learned about tired blood, and got fixed up with Geritol.
Do you still savour that blazing Bonanza opener, with Lorne Greene,
in NBC’s living colour and its stirring staccato rhythmic theme?
We were triggered by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans
and the cowboy songs of Sons of the Pioneers recall.
There was Richard Boone, as Paladin, in Have Gun Will Travel,
and tuned in to host Hal March and The Sixty-Four Thousand Dollar Question, and its sponsor, Revlon.
There are so many memories to unravel, through commercials,
the silver screen, TV, media, and song.
