At convenience stores we see these items at a dollar and fifty cents each! Thus the following song or pondering poetry--or perhaps poetree might be more appropriate. (Sorry, I went out on a bit of a limb there.)
There it was, a dollar fifty an apple or the same for an orange, UNBELIEVABLE! The cost at a convenience store. Some of us seniors who remember think that’s INCONCEIVABLE and go plumb crazy right down to the CORE. Words like convenience sound mighty PEACHY.
If this all sounds a bit like Sour Grapes, then call me a crab apple and one wonders what the wholesale costs are, for goodness and (nutritious) SAKES!
